This historic military-issue piece includes a printed message from President Franklin D. Roosevelt dated January 25, 1941, addressed to the Armed Forces. The flyleaf is inscribed to Edward E. Harriman, dated February 25, 1944, and includes his Army Serial Number. Accompanying the Bible is an original 'Enlisted Man's Temporary Pass' for Pvt. Harriman from Company E at Camp Ritchie, MD, dated August 1944. The brown flexible cover shows significant wear and fraying at the edges, consistent with field use during WWII.
