This charming vintage mohair teddy bear is likely a Chiltern Hugmee, dating from the 1940s-1950s. Made in Britain, it features golden mohair plush, amber glass eyes with black pupils, a black molded nose, Rexine (imitation leather) paw and foot pads, and fully jointed head, arms, and legs. Its pronounced back hump and long, slightly curved arms are characteristic of the Hugmee design. The bear is in well-loved vintage condition, with age-related thinning of the mohair, especially to the face and limbs. The Rexine pads display typical crackling and wear but remain largely intact. All joints are functional, and the eyes and nose are secure. A wonderful addition to any vintage teddy bear collection or nostalgic display.
