There is something deeply comforting about falling asleep while someone else keeps watch. Standing Watch reflects on the quiet faithfulness of protection, presence, and care. Inspired by Psalm 91:11, this artwork captures a loyal dog resting near the doorway while a child sleeps peacefully nearby, unaware of the darkness outside or the dangers that may never come. The devotional included with this piece reminds us that while earthly guardians eventually grow tired, God's care never does. "For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways." — Psalm 91:11 The image of the watchful companion becomes a gentle reflection of a greater truth found throughout Scripture: the Lord neither slumbers nor sleeps. His presence surrounds His children through every hour of the night and every uncertain season of life. The included devotional card explores this message more deeply, drawing from the themes of protection, trust, and God's unfailing watchfulness over those He loves. Whether displayed in a nursery, child's room, prayer space, family room, or hallway, Standing Watch offers a quiet reminder that even when we rest, we are not unguarded.
