Charming antique German real photo postcard dated 1914, featuring a young boy dressed in a sailor suit and cap, posed outdoors beside his dog while holding a small sword or saber. Wonderful pre-WWI childhood image with strong crossover appeal for collectors of dogs, animals, sailor suits, military-inspired children’s clothing, swords, and antique German photography. The reverse has a purple German maker or studio stamp reading “Gärtner”, along with the printed number 1634 near the bottom. Hand-dated 1914 at the top. Visible age-related wear, including edge and corner wear, surface marks, and a slight crease at the upper-right corner. Please review all photos for condition.
