This is an antique music box used to hold powder or maybe just your powder puff. Open the box, wind it and it plays music, close it and it stops. The metal does have some discoloration or patina. Very cool old piece can be used anywhere! Add matches and place by your candle, use it to hold jewelry, so many options please see photos so you understand condition.
