A beautifully atmospheric early 20th century pastoral landscape depicting a shepherd and flock of sheep gathered beside a quiet woodland stream. Towering trees frame the composition while soft light filters through the forest, illuminating the grazing animals and reflecting gently off the water. The painting is signed E. A. Olewine and dated 1915 in the lower right corner. Condition There is a small paint loss visible near the sheep in the lower portion of the composition. The frame shows expected age-related wear including small chips and losses to the gilt finish.
