This delightful vintage mid-century kitchen set features a complete collection of four ceramic chef spoon rests alongside their original wire display caddy. Each anthropomorphic spoon rest is shaped like a cheerful chef's face wearing a large white toque hat. Hand-painted in Japan, they feature blushing pink cheeks, a smiling expression, and black hand-lettered text that reads: "I WILL HOLD YOUR COOKING SPOON." Molded into the side of each piece is an integrated bright yellow spoon handle that acts as a decorative accent. The backs of the ceramic rests are finished with a clean white glaze, and two of them retain their clear, stamped "JAPAN" hallmarks. The accompanying industrial-style wire rack is designed specifically to neatly nest and display all four pieces. It features a wire spring-coiled carrying handle, looped feet, and an authentic aged golden-bronze patina with minor surface oxidation that adds excellent vintage character.
