A charming taxidermy baby ostrich chick displayed alongside a genuine ostrich egg on a circular wooden base. This unusual display piece has wonderful character and makes a striking addition to any collection of taxidermy, natural history or cabinet of curiosities. The chick is in overall great condition, with attractive natural colouring and bright glass eyes, creating a lifelike display. The mount has a small chip to the base, as shown in the photographs, which could easily be touched in with black paint if desired. There is also a small bald spot to the back of the chick's head, although this is very subtle and hardly noticeable when on display. Overall, it presents beautifully and would make a fantastic decorative piece for a country home, study, shop display or collector of natural history.
