Glass jar has a plastic top containing a metal rod that pushes four blades into the nuts or other foods you wish to chop. Overall height is 10.25 inches. Top unscrews. Chopper works but CALLOUT: there is rust on the rod and some on the blades. I recommend using this chopper for display only unless you are able to remove the rust. I cleaned it but some rust remains. Still it is a fun touch of vintage aqua in a grandma kitchen.
