This is an extremely super spicy specimen (made 1936–1942). A whooping 24,000 CPM (see video for proof) using the super sensitive GQ-GMC-600 Pro G-M counter. This is a Homer Laughlin Fiestaware, 6-inch red spicy glazed plate. Comes with a large novelty radioactive decal on the front, and a small one on the back. And it also comes with CPM certification sticker located on the back. These decals/stickers can be removed if desired, but I think they add to its character and make it more of a display and show piece. The whole purpose of buying this type of item is because of its spiciness, and that’s why I added the decals in the first place. And they make this plate stand out in any display cabinet. Also, comes with extra decals and certification stickers. Per an internet search: Ink-stamped lower case “fiesta HLC USA” (1936–1942) — original pre-war production; most collectible. If your piece uses spicy glaze, it must be from the 1936-1943 range. This is the only period when spicy glaze was used. See pictures for condition. Condition has normal wear consistent with authentic vintage items. There are no chips or cracks, just minor blemishes due to being around 90-years old. The item has minor manufacturer imperfections. There are the typical kiln marks on the back where the piece rested on stilts in the kiln. These marks are not flaws or damage. Plate is around 6 inches in diameter. See pictures for size. Note: My items are G-M counter verified with video proof. Other sellers can be offering the same item, even with the same model number, and theirs may not contain the spiciness. I have pieces of dinnerware that are identical in every aspect, one is spicy, the other isn’t. I have vintage aircraft gauges and clocks with the same model number, but one contains a spicy luminous dial, the other one doesn’t. I comb through antique shops with my highly-sensitive and accurate G-M counter, the GQ-GMC-600 Pro, in search of these spicy specimens from the past.
