Rather than a straight gourmand, this scent is an elegant, multi-layered experience heavily focused on natural Madagascan Vanilla planifolia. Guerlain uses an age-old tincture technique, cold-soaking hand-cut vanilla pods to extract its deep, woody, and slightly balsamic qualities. The opening is brightened by pink pepper and bergamot before transitioning into a smoky, "churchy" incense paired with creamy florals. As it dries down, it settles into a rich, boozy vanilla laced with rum, benzoin, and dry cedar.
