Description:Authentic vintage solid oak index card file box manufactured by the Wayne Novelty Company. Features beautiful, sturdy finger-joint construction and smoothly operating brass-tone hinges. Stamped clearly on the inside of the lid: "WAYNE NOVELTY / 7520-285-3... / FEB 1969". Condition: Good vintage condition. Wood grain is clean with a warm patina, hinges operate smoothly, and the factory ink stamp is crisp and highly legible. Includes an extensive stack of original vintage alphabetical paper index dividers (A-W). Bottom shows notable finish wear, water rings, and some localized discoloration where the original outer lacquer layer has worn or peeled away. While the inside of the box remains in excellent condition with a crisp stamp and intact dividers, this kind of bottom-surface wear is very common for vintage utilitarian items. Perfect for: Mid-century office decor, vintage recipe card storage, or antique craft organization.
