This listing is for one Battenburg lace tablecloth napkin from a complete set of twelve. The tablecloth itself is not included and is not for sale. These napkins are old new stock, untouched and preserved exactly as they were stored decades ago. I removed only one napkin from the sealed package—reluctantly—so that buyers could see the condition and craftsmanship. Because Battenburg lace is delicate and true white textiles are especially vulnerable to oxidation, I have avoided handling them further to protect their pristine color and integrity. The folds you see are simply from long-term storage in a sealed package. They have not been exposed to humidity, light, or air circulation, which is why the white remains crisp and bright rather than yellowed or dulled. This kind of preservation is extremely rare for Battenburg lace linens.During the era when heavy, intricately designed Battenburg tablecloths and bedding were the height of decorative fashion, matching napkins . were considered essential. To find twelve in this condition—unused, unoxidized, and beautifully stored—is exceptional. If you appreciate heirloom-quality linens, this is a chance to acquire a single napkin from a set that has survived time with remarkable grace. Bowl used for props. Ellie-approved for quality and condition.
