Hemlock Bay is a suspense/crime novel and the sixth book in Catherine Coulter’s FBI Thriller series. FBI agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock become involved when Dillon’s younger sister, Lily, crashes her vehicle in Hemlock Bay, California. Because Lily has struggled emotionally since the death of her young daughter, the crash initially appears to be another suicide attempt—but Dillon suspects someone may be manipulating her. The investigation leads to four valuable paintings Lily inherited from her famous artist grandmother. Worth millions, the paintings are connected to an elaborate scheme involving forgery, greed, and a dangerous art collector. As Dillon and Sherlock investigate, Lily and art broker Simon Russo are pulled deeper into the conspiracy and placed in increasing danger. At the same time, Dillon is also handling a separate FBI case involving the kidnapping of two teenage boys.
