This is an antique fork from 1843 Russia. Stamped on the back with "А.К / 1843" (The Assayer Mark): In Moscow during the year 1843, the initials "А.К" belonged to the legendary Ober-Bergprobirer (Upper Mine Assayer) Andrey Antonovich Kovalsky. He served as a senior imperial assay master in Moscow between 1821 and 1856."84" (The Purity Mark): This remains the traditional 84 Zolotnik standard, verifying that the piece is 87.5% pure solid silver. 6.25” - 1.5 oz / 44g
