This is an antique Remington UMC Hicks' Percussion Caps tin, designed for muzzleloading firearms. The circular metal tin features a green top with a prominent red central logo for Remington UMC. The text on the lid identifies the contents as Hicks' Percussion Caps, foil lined, Central F.L. Fire, Water-Proof, manufactured by Remington Arms Company in Bridgeport, Conn., U.S.A. The bottom of the tin is a worn brass-colored metal. Shows moderate wear, minor rust spots on the green lid, scratches, and discoloration on the brass bottom, consistent with its age. Can is empty.
