A true First Edition, published by Dodd, Mead and Company in September 1909. Part of Carolyn Wells' beloved Marjorie series of children's novels, popular with early 20th-century juvenile fiction collectors. Condition First Edition (September 1909). Hardcover. No dust jacket. Covers show moderate shelf and edge wear with rubbing to corners and spine. Front hinge is cracked with exposed binding, though the text block remains attached. Binding is shaken but intact. Pages are clean with age toning consistent with age. Hudson's Book Shop (Detroit) bookseller label on rear pastedown. Small pencil price notation inside front cover. Please review all photos carefully for condition. A nice candidate for collectors seeking an authentic first edition or readers interested in classic juvenile fiction.
