Product Details

Offered for sale is a charming 3-piece vintage ceramic coffee and tea service. This delightful set features a whimsical and playful mid-century (c. 1950s-1960s) interpretation of classic rural Americana, heavily inspired by Pennsylvania Dutch/Amish Folk Art and Grant Wood’s iconic American Gothic. The set includes: A stately lidded coffee/tea pot with a curved spout. A sugar bowl with two handles. A matching creamer. Each piece is hand-painted on a clean white ceramic body, adorned with vibrant folk art motifs. The tall coffee pot features a central cornstalk with two folk-art birds above, flanked by stylized characters: a traditional bonnet-wearing woman holding a harvest basket and a farmer with a pitchfork (a "Grant Wood-esque" nod). Below are smaller symbols of a tomato and vegetables. These delightful pieces were made in the mid 20s th century.
