Product Details

You will receive a skeleton key from the 1800s and a short synopsis of the ideas presented in this show. Help support me for the time that went into this research and work, which I hope to continue. The skeleton key is from a Vermont collector, said to be associated with the Barnet/McIndoe Falls area. Barnet had early 19th-century inns and hotel/public-house activity, including the historic McIndoe Falls Inn, established circa 1808. These keys may have come from an inn, hotel, estate, store, or related local building. Sold as found, with exact provenance unconfirmed.

About the Seller
the ecology of objects buy a piece of history · jewelry: antique & vintage · antique medical prescriptions & curiosities · manuscripts, books, ephemera · handmade artifacts & antiques Epoch Archive explores the ecology of objects: how everyday things connect people, history, materials, belief, commerce, & memory. I studied art history & art conservation. I grew up tagging along with my uncle, an antique dealer, as he hunted for antiques “that can’t talk on the telephone” (pre-1900) in SF Bay Area. I’ve worked in the waste reduction/reuse/recycling industry for 17 years.
