Beautiful original Victorian cabinet card featuring an elegantly dressed woman wearing a dramatic fur cape or stole, gloves, and an elaborate fashion hat. The portrait was taken by renowned Boston photographer Elmer Chickering at 21 West Street, Boston, with the ornate Royal Studio advertising back. The reverse references the studio’s 1890 Seventeenth Exhibition award, helping date this piece to the 1890s.
