Product Details

Antique Victorian Carte de Visite (CDV) photograph featuring a portrait of a woman with an elaborate hairstyle and ruffled collar. This sepia-toned image was captured by photographer W. A. Robinson, who operated studios at 631 W. Lake and 77 S. Clark St. in Chicago, Illinois. The subject is dressed in a striped bodice with a high lace neckline, typical of late 19th-century fashion. The reverse side displays the photographer's ornate decorative backmark with a central crest and laurel wreath. This original historical photograph serves as a fine example of 1800s studio portraiture and Chicago history. Foxing 2.5 x 4 inches
