For sale is an authentic antique individual porcelain berry/dessert bowl imported by Lazarus Straus & Sons (LS&S), manufactured in Carlsbad, Austria between 1895 and 1917. Design: Pattern #1040. Features a delicate trailing band of small pink roses along the rim, a single rosebud in the center basin, and a scalloped edge highlighted with gold gilt.Condition: Good antique condition with no chips, cracks, or structural damage. Shows minor, expected wear to the gold gilt edge consistent with age and careful use.Backstamp: Stamped with the blue circular "LS&S Carlsbad Austria" hallmark and hand-painted with pattern number 1040 on the base. Shows mild wear to the gold gilt edge. Please note that these a few pieces feature minor, original dark carbon specks trapped under the glaze from the factory firing process, adding to their historical authenticity.
