The Smelter is a compact EDC collaboration between Rike and Six Fingers, merging premium machining with a bold industrial cyberpunk aesthetic. Designed to stand apart from conventional folders, the Smelter channels a rugged, utilitarian visual language through its compact frame, layered detailing, and purposeful construction. At the center of the design is a sleek clip point blade ground from Bohler M390, a high performance stainless steel known for exceptional edge retention, corrosion resistance, and long term cutting performance. Finished in DLC, the blade takes on a darker, more aggressive character that complements the knife’s industrial styling while adding an extra layer of wear resistance. Its compact dimensions make it practical for everyday use, while the thicker 4.5 mm stock gives the Smelter a dense, overbuilt feel that reinforces its distinctive presence.
