Charming vintage hand-carved owl pendant, believed to have been purchased in Hong Kong during the 1960s. Expertly carved from what appears to be natural bone with detailed feather work on both front and back. Features a stamped 14K gold bail (“14K Y”), delicate handcrafted gold eyeglasses with matching decorative chain, and tiny faceted strawberry-red gemstone eyes. An exceptional Mid-Century artisan piece with whimsical character and collectible appeal. Material and gemstones are described to the best of our knowledge and have not been laboratory tested.
