Antique carte de visite (CDV) featuring a seated young woman, photographed by Matilda Moore (imprint: "Mrs. Moore"), 421 Canal Street, New York. Dating to the late 1860s–early 1870s, this portrait was produced by one of New York City's documented early women photographers, who operated her studio at this address from approximately 1860–1883. Attractive illustrated backmark with cherub camera motif. A desirable example for collectors of women photographers, Victorian photography, and New York photographic history.
