Monstera deliciosa ‘Unniiae’ (sometimes spelled ‘Unniae’) is a rare cultivated form of Monstera deliciosa discovered as a natural sport in Sweden. The mutation was reportedly found in a Swedish garden center and later named by the discoverer after her daughter, Unni. This origin adds meaningful provenance to an already unusual plant. The defining feature of ‘Unniiae’ is its highly distorted foliage. Leaves are thick and develop deep splits and holes in an irregular, contorted pattern rather than the orderly fenestration seen in standard forms.
