This is a wonderful piece. I believe it is an unsigned Hattie Carnegie seahorse pendant necklace dating to the 1960s. Several distinctive features match documented Hattie Carnegie examples: * Antiqued gold-tone seahorse * Tiny turquoise-colored glass cabochons (“ballotini” beads) * Single row of clear rhinestones down the body * Small red rhinestone eye * Textured molded body with detailed fins and crown * Approximately 3 inches tall The original chain may have been replaced at some point, or it may simply be a compatible vintage chain. Hattie Carnegie often signed the clasp or hang tag rather than the pendant, and some known “book pieces” are completely unsigned. Condition From your photos: * I don’t see any missing turquoise beads. * The rhinestones appear complete. * The red eye is present. * There is light age-appropriate wear to the gold finish but nothing unusual.
