Vintage 1970s Vanguard Studios King of Spades Wall Art Selling a great example of Mid-Century Modern "factory art" from Vanguard Studios. This is a high-relief sculpture of the King of Spades playing card, produced under their "Decor West" brand. It has a faux-wood finish and is made of their signature material, Vanathane. Condition: The piece is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or damage. It measures approximately 18" H x 13.5" W. The original material has a few minor scuffs consistent with its age (see photos). ⚠️ Important Safety Note: Vanathane, the high-density foam/resin material used by Vanguard Studios in the 1970s, is known to have contained asbestos. The risk is primarily from inhaling dust if the material is damaged, cut, or sanded.
