Wonderful vintage French souvenir can-can dancer doll, mid-kick, skirt swirled high in classic Moulin Rouge style. She wears a black lace bodice and overskirt with a rose-pink lining, layered white lace petticoat, black painted stockings and boots, and a black hat trimmed with blue and white feathers. Sleep-style painted blue eyes, rosy cheeks, and original brunette mohair-style wig. She moves one and dances! Dolls like this were popular Parisian souvenirs in the 1950s and 1960s, and she has all the charm of that era — the hand-finished costume, the dramatic pose, and the original card/plastic display stand. A lovely piece for collectors of French souvenir dolls, boudoir/cabaret memorabilia, or vintage doll displays. Condition: Good vintage condition. Costume is complete with wonderfully intact lace; hair is a little tousled, and there's light age-appropriate wear overall (please see photos). Displays beautifully. Sold as a collector's item.
