Up for auction is a stunning genuine antique hand-hammered tinned copper ewer pitcher featuring an incredible rustic dual-toned patina. Mediterranean style serving jug showcases a traditional hand-forged design with a high arched handle and faint hand-stamped decorative motifs around the middle. The base of the pitcher features a rare and highly collectible workshop touchmark showing three stylized bottles or arches stamped side-by-side, verifying its origin from an established regional coppersmith guild. Over decades of handling, the original protective silvery tin coating has beautifully worn away across the neck and body to expose the rich, warm copper underneath on both the exterior and interior. This piece is completely non-magnetic and retains its deep, unpolished historic character.
