Product Details
This is a truly one of a kind antique “crazy quilt” featuring an abstract pattern, needlepoint/cross stitch features, and a solid blue ruffle border with built in “corners.” One of the standout features to this quilt is the sometimes visible sugar sack interior. Check photos carefully to see if you can spot it. Crazy quilts have long been an economical way for crafters to reduce waste by making use of scrap fabrics. This blanket tells a story of all the other fabrics this family was using. I wonder what the unicorn pattern was? Maybe a dress? The geometric nylon could have been used for a shirt? So many questions! The patchwork area measures 60x80”, not counting the 19” navy ruffle border on 3 sides. Modeled on a king size bed, but probably made for a full or queen size bed. 98x96” total There is wear and some minor stains as pictured. Happy to answer any other questions!
