Large, whimsical hand-painted ceramic fish platter designed by Ted DeSuir for VIETRI, made in Italy. Measures approximately 16” long × 12” wide. Features a wonderfully bold Mediterranean-inspired fish with a pale blue face, red scales, sunny yellow body, aqua-green accents and expressive hand-painted detailing. The underside retains the faint VIETRI/Italy maker’s stamp. A substantial statement piece that works beautifully as serveware, coastal kitchen décor or displayed as Italian art pottery. This is one of VIETRI’s older/retired fish designs rather than the current Pesci Colorati platter—the current version is larger at 18.5” × 11” and retails for $262. I also found a current listing specifically describing a 16” vintage DeSuir/Vietri fish platter at $125, with other comparable 16” VIETRI fish platters generally being offered around $90–$150.
