Product Details

Up for sale is a beautiful piece of vintage men’s jewelry—a classic late 1930s to 1950s gold-tone tie chain clip. The reverse side of the spring mechanism is stamped with the historical patent number Pat. 2,111,166, which was originally filed by inventor Oscar Carlson. This exact mechanism was utilized by premium mid-century manufacturers like Krementz and Dolan & Bullock. The accessory features an open-body spring bar that slides onto the shirt placket, allowing the polished drape chain to accent your necktie neatly. The center of the chain features a smooth, blank rectangular placard with a ribbed border. Perfect to use as a dress or sweater clip.
