Vintage 1930s Art Deco Waller Patent 1801128 Rhinestone Dress Clip Red Clear Glass Mixed Metal Statement Jewelry 1 3/4” Fantastic authentic 1930s Art Deco dress clip featuring dramatic geometric construction with red and clear glass rhinestones, including a large faceted clear teardrop stone. Beautiful mixed silver and warm gold-tone metalwork creates a striking dimensional design. The clip mechanism is stamped PAT. 1801128, identifying the clasp as the design patented by Anthony E. Waller of Providence, Rhode Island. Waller filed for this clasp mechanism in 1930 and received the patent in 1931, making it a wonderful period detail of early Art Deco jewelry construction. IMPORTANT* This piece NEEDS A THOROUGH, CAREFUL CLEANING. It has substantial accumulated grime, oxidation/patina and age-related discoloration.
