Antique 1860 New Testament – Brown & Taggard, Boston Original 1860 edition of The New Testament of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, translated out of the Original Greek, with former translations diligently compared and revised. Published in Boston by Brown and Taggard in 1860. Small antique pocket-size New Testament measuring approximately 5" x 3". Features an original black cloth-covered binding with embossed decorative detailing. Condition: Antique condition with substantial age and use wear. The cloth binding is heavily worn, frayed and partially separated, with exposed binding material and significant corner/spine wear. Pages show age toning, foxing/spotting and handling wear. There is extensive pencil scribbling/doodling on several blank endpapers and preliminary pages. Please examine all photos carefully for condition. A genuine 19th-century New Testament with an authentic 1860 Boston imprint and wonderful old-book character. Sold as found.
