This is a vintage Blue Danube porcelain round scalloped trivet/hot plate featuring the classic "Blue Onion" (Zwiebelmuster) chinoiserie pattern made in Japan.The Lipper International company first introduced the popular Blue Danube dinnerware and accessory line featuring this cobalt blue floral design on a white glazed ground in 1951. It looks as if someone put felt on it I’m assuming the pottery was scratchy. Otherwise excellent condition
