Vintage 1970s hand embroidered textile artwork depicting a charming rustic woodland scene with a tall country building, evergreen and birch trees, winding flower-lined path, clouds and tiny birds/insects. Beautifully detailed hand stitching gives the trees, flowers, building and landscape wonderful texture and dimension. Presented in a vintage dark wood frame. The reverse is dated in handwriting “12/9/76,” presumably the completion or framing date. Artist/maker is unknown. Approx. 22" tall x 18.5" wide framed (please see photos for measurements). CONDITION: Vintage condition with some age-related wear to the frame and backing. Embroidery displays nicely with some normal variation and age-related wear to the textile. Please examine all photos carefully, as they are part of the description. A wonderful piece of 1970s handmade needlework with a cozy country/woodland aesthetic.
