Depression glass refers to a category of inexpensive, mass-produced glassware produced in the United States from the 1920s to the 1940s, during the Great Depression. It was often given away as a promotional item by businesses, included as a premium in boxes of cereal or soap, or sold at very low prices in five-and-dime stores. This glass was made in a wide array of colors, with pink, green, and amber being among the most popular. Arcoroc is a brand of glassware produced by Luminarc, a division of the French company Arc International. While Arcoroc glassware is known for its durability and often features decorative patterns, it is generally not considered antique depression glass in the same vein as American-made pieces from the 1930s. However, vintage Arcoroc pieces, especially those with popular patterns like roses, are collectible and can be found in various colors, including pink.
