Set at the Western edge of the Cascades, “mount index “features a steam train roaring from a dense forest flanked by a ripping river. Created around 1930 as a part of Jon Fery’s last commission for the great Northern Railway this work depicts the only train found in any of BNSF Fery paintings Approximately 10 to 10 1/2 inches in diameter.
