Featuring a carousel horse on authentic historic roofing slate. According to the original Archie’s Sketches label, the slate was mined in Pennsylvania, transported down the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers, and used as roofing in New Orleans following the Great Fire of 1788. The front label identifies the hand-shaped slate as approximately 175 years old. A beautiful piece of New Orleans architectural history and folk art!
