The set retains its **original Ernst Heinrichsen Nürnberg cardboard box**, complete with the original printed Heinrichsen label reading: **Ernst Heinrichsen Nürnberg No. 1/2 ++ Landsknechtlager** Ernst Heinrichsen was one of the most important historic manufacturers of traditional Nürnberg tin flat figures and helped establish the classic approximately 30mm “Nuremberg standard” for this style of miniature. The Landsknechtlager series depicts **Landsknecht camp life during approximately 1500–1550**, with figures and accessories representing the soldiers, camp followers and everyday activities surrounding these famous Renaissance-era mercenary armies. Depending upon the individual pieces present, scenes from the series can include soldiers, camp followers, craftsmen, cooking/eating scenes, sentries, tents, barrels, fires and other camp accessories. This set was recently identified in correspondence with **Berliner Zinnfiguren** as belonging to Heinrichsen's historical 30mm Landsknecht Camp series.
