The New Defenders #141, published by Marvel Comics in 1985 (March 1985). Classic mid-1980s Marvel issue featuring Beast, Valkyrie and Gargoyle prominently on the cover, with artwork signed Mignola/Milgrom. Key significance: This issue comes from the later New Defenders era, when the team had evolved to include several characters closely associated with the X-Men, particularly Beast, Iceman and Angel, alongside Valkyrie and Gargoyle. It also has extra collector appeal due to the Mike Mignola cover artwork, from relatively early in Mignola’s Marvel career years before Hellboy.
