A fantastic antique hand-blown apothecary medicine bottle dating to the late 1800s to early 1900s, and this one has a very special surprise: it glows green with manganese! This clear glass bottle features a blown-in-mold body, sunken rectangular panels, and a beautifully hand-tooled lip designed for a traditional cork closure. The glass has wonderful wavy, whittled texture and tiny air bubbles, giving it that unmistakable character of early hand-blown glass. The bottle is unmarked and has the look of a generic early patent medicine or pharmacy bottle. Most importantly, this bottle was unearthed and cleaned, and the glass displays a bright green manganese glow under UV/blacklight, particularly around the neck and shoulders. The UV reaction is a fantastic bonus for collectors who love antique glass with a hidden glow. Condition: Excellent for an unearthed antique bottle. No major chips or cracks noted.
