Mid-century pair of vintage ceramic salt and pepper shakers featuring a male lion and lying lioness. Crafted by Relco in Japan during the 1950s to 1960s, these figures feature high-gloss hand-painted details and come complete with their original cork stoppers and original red/gold foil maker stickers on the undersides. ​Measurements ​Male Lion: 2.25" Tall and 4.5" Long ​Female Lioness: 2" Tall and 4" Long ​Condition ​Both shakers are in wonderful vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. ​Both original cork stoppers remain present and intact inside the base. ​Original foil "Hand Painted RELCO Creation JAPAN" stickers are attached to the bases. ​Manufacturing Note: There is a small glaze pop/factory pinhole located just above the male lion’s right eye. This occurred during manufacturing prior to firing and is not a post-production chip or paint loss. Please refer to picture #7 for a close-up detail.
