Product Details

This 1940s sterling Silver charm bracelet is 7.25” long and very very cool. The charms are all soldered on, so we know that’s an original! It’s a little time capsule. This vintage charm bracelet feels like opening a tiny window into another woman’s life. Among its collection of wonderfully personal charms is a 1942 Women’s Army Corps (WAC) charm, along with American Red Cross memorabilia and an assortment of travel, luck, and everyday-life charms — including an airplane, four-leaf clover, bird, fruit, and other miniature treasures. Charm bracelets like this were deeply personal; their owners added pieces over time to commemorate places, organizations, milestones, interests, and memories. Together, these charms seem to tell the story of a woman living through an extraordinary moment in American history. The WWII-era WAC and Red Cross connections make this one especially fascinating — not simply a piece of vintage jewelry, but a small collection of history gathered charm by charm.
