Vintage Salem China Company Antique Ivory “Bird of Paradise” creamer, dating to approximately the 1920s–1930s. Features Salem’s distinctive ivory/yellow glazed body with molded vertical ribbing, colorful Bird of Paradise/pheasant and floral basket decoration, loop handle, and gold trim. The Antique Ivory glaze fluoresces an intense bright green under UV light, consistent with vintage uranium glaze. The dramatic glow covers the glazed body and makes this an especially attractive piece for uranium and UV-reactive pottery collectors. Marked with a hand-applied factory number on the underside. No visible Salem backstamp on this example. Similar Salem Antique Ivory Bird of Paradise pieces are documented with the same yellow/ivory color, ribbed construction and early-20th-century manufacture.
