Titled "Unmasked By Dr. Octopus!", Peter Parker is facing a terrible illness and hallucinates that his powers are failing him. Believing he is at death's door and wanting to clear his name once and for all, he takes the desperate gamble of unmasking in front of Gwen Stacy, Harry Osborn, Mary Jane Watson, and Flash Thompson to prove he is not Spider-Man. The ruse works brilliantly when a costume-clad stunt double appears just in time, but the emotional fallout leaves a lasting mark.
