This is a vintage hand-carved wooden butter print / shortbread cookie stamp, crafted in Scotland by J & I Crichton of Braemar. Carved from solid natural hardwood, the face features an intricately detailed relief carving of the traditional Scottish Thistle, surrounded by flanking foliage within a raised circular border. The back features an ergonomic waisted grip handle retaining its original gold foil maker label reading "HAND MADE BY J & I CRICHTON BRAEMAR · SCOTLAND". Measures approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Condition is excellent vintage with clean, crisp carving details, smooth edges, and no cracks or splits.
