Original 1891 Union Pacific Railway Company expense voucher issued to W. T. Young of Kimball, Nebraska. Fantastic piece of Western railroad ephemera documenting livestock claims involving Union Pacific trains near Bushnell, Nebraska. The typed claim records: Yearling American heifer injured April 24, 1891 near Bushnell by an unknown engine on Train No. 21 Five-year-old American cow killed May 14, 1891 about two miles east of Bushnell Four-month-old calf killed the same day/location by an unknown engine on Train No. 2 Originally $55 claimed, with the claims ultimately settled for $35. Dated July 13, 1891 in Omaha with numerous original Union Pacific auditor, payment and bank stamps, handwritten signatures and accounting marks. Reverse has the original distribution-of-accounts ledger. Very interesting early railroad, Nebraska and livestock-related ephemera. Shows expected age toning, folds and light edge wear.
