This is an original vintage Planters Peanuts "Mr. Peanut" letterpress printer's printing block / advertising cut (c. 1950s-1960s). The block features a sharply detailed relief metal printing plate mounted onto a solid hardwood base. It depicts the classic iconic brand mascot Mr. Peanut dynamically leaning on his cane, wearing his signature monocle, top hat with the reversed "MR. PEANUT" hatband text, and waving his hand. The design features a beautifully rendered background showcasing a detailed wavy graphic pattern. Condition is very good vintage with sharp relief printing edges, an intact metal face, honest print shop ink patina, and a solid wood block mounting.
